Comorbid Conditions

Comorbidity is defined as the co-occurrence of two or more conditions in the same person.  Comorbid conditions in ASC include gastrointestinal symptoms, sleep problems, epilepsy, feeding issues, toileting problems, Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (AD/HD), anxiety, depression and mood problems. ICAN publishes research which highlights the significant health, developmental, educational and social impacts of comorbid conditions.
